Help & User Guide
Overview
The IT Enterprise Scorecard is a real-time dashboard that tracks key performance indicators across four domains: Financials, Projects, People, and Operational. Data is sourced from the EIT Metrics workbook and refreshed each time you select a reporting period.
Navigation
| Page | Description |
|---|---|
| Home | Application menu — jump to any section or launch an AI assistant. |
| Scorecard | One-page summary across all four domains with KPI cards and a metrics-needing-focus column. |
| Financials | IT spend KPIs, budget vs. forecast variance, and cost breakdown by category. |
| Strategic Investments | Initiative budget and forecast tracking, grouped by fiscal year and team. |
| Software Renewals | Upcoming software contract renewals with dates, costs, and owner details. |
| Project | Project delivery KPIs including on-time rate, scope adherence, and active project counts. |
| Operational | Service desk, infrastructure, and security operational metrics. |
| People | Headcount, turnover, employee satisfaction, and open role metrics. |
Period Filter
The Period dropdown (top-right on most pages) controls which reporting month is displayed across all tabs. Selecting a month reloads all KPI cards, charts, and tables to reflect data for that period. The filter persists as you navigate between tabs.
KPI Card Status Colors
Click the icon on any KPI card to view its definition and calculation methodology.
KPI Trend Charts
Every KPI card displays a small sparkline chart showing the metric's trend over recent months. Click the chart to open a detailed view.
Click anywhere on the sparkline chart inside a KPI card. A pointer cursor appears when you hover over a clickable chart.
A full-width chart with all available months labeled, value labels on each data point, a dashed orange target line, and current / target / variance figures below.
Click the × button in the top-right corner of the popup, or click anywhere on the dark overlay behind the chart.
Trend charts are available on the Scorecard, Financials, Strategic Investments, Project, People, and Operational tabs.
Ask Claude
The Ask Claude assistant (bottom-left nav or Home menu) is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. It has full context of the current scorecard data and can answer questions like "What drove the increase in IT spend this month?" or "Which projects are at risk?" Use the chat panel on the right side of the screen.
Ask AWS QuickSight
Ask AWS Quick opens an Amazon QuickSight Q generative BI assistant in a popup window. It can answer natural-language questions about your AWS data sources directly. Requires AWS SSO authentication on first use.
